Destruction to Gulf of Mexico coastal regions due to tropical cyclone landfall present new solutions and options to minimized coastal destruction. Detailed observations of solutions in the Western Pacific during Cat 5 tropical cyclone landfall are observed in detail.

This case study focuses on documented data reviewed from 2008. This reviewed and applied system in the noted region enhances the possibility for needed steps forward for continued research moving ahead.
