THIS MISSION IS FOCUSING ON PLANNING, PLACEMENT, AND EXECUTION OF POSSIBLE TORNADIC STORMS ON A SHORT NOTICE. PLANNING WAS MADE IN A THREE HOUR NOTICE TO BOOK A FLIGHT AND ARRIVE IN TIME FOR POSSIBLE TORNADIC STORMS ON 4-26.
ALL ELEMENTS LINED UP FOR PRELIMINARY PLANNING... THE CALL WAS MADE TO EXECUTE... AND SWS TEAM MEMBER JOHN HALLEN DID ARRIVED IN DENVER FROM SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AND CONTINUED ON THE DRIVE TO THE HIGH RISK ZONE FOR THE 4-26 EVENT.

The start of the planning was documented video of the computer planning.. The fetch "wind fields" on the west coast.. the low level "wind" out of the Gulf of Mexico, are shown in a video presentation to be released at the end of this chase. I will update this page as the chase is in progress. Still photos will be on this page and SPC details for the geographic location of these severe possibilities. In driving into southwest Kansas, I was encountered by PDS "Particularly Dangerous Situation" weather warnings, High risk for severe weather, and multiple tornado warnings. My position was in south central Kansas... right in the high risk, PDS, and tornado warned area.. I did get multiple funnels and (2) tornadoes on the ground. The problem was for still pictures they were a bit far off.. For the video camera.. they came out reasonable. I will post the video clip soon.
